DSWD, CHED went through budget deliberation

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Commission on Higher Education (CHED) defended their respective budgets for the year 2020 at the Senate. PhP158 billion allocation was proposed by the DSWD, a huge part of which will be allocated for the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program. The CHED, for its part, sought PhP40 billion, more than 20% lower than last year’s PhP52 billion.
