DTI Chief Lopez tests positive for COVID-19

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ramon Lopez confirmed on Wednesday that he tested positive for the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19).

Lopez assured that he is undergoing strict isolation despite not experiencing any symptoms of the infectious disease.

“Di ko alam saan ko nakuha. So nagpa-test ako last Sunday, and lumabas noong Monday. Sa dami kong test puro negative, ito first time positive (I don’t know where I got it. I got tested last Sunday and the result came out Monday.
This is my first time testing positive after all my tests),” he disclosed.

“Pero last week noong may exposure, nag-isolate na ako, so tinutuloy ko lang (But last week when there was exposure, I underwent isolation so I am still doing it),” he added.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque stated that the last time Lopez attended a meeting with President Rodrigo Duterte was on November 20. – Report from Mela Lesmoras
