DTI collaborates with Indian pharma companies for cheaper medicine

The Department of Trade and Industry has been collaborating with foreign pharmaceutical companies to provide cheaper medicine in the country. According to Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez, the agency is now convincing Indian pharmaceutical companies to invest in the country. The agency has been consulting with them after the visit of Indian President Ram Nath Kovind to the Philippines. The DTI explained that other than producing cheaper medicines, tie-ups with Indian pharmaceutical companies could also boost the local pharmaceutical industry.
