Around 250 MSME participants are expected to attend the forum organized by DTI-Calabarzon in collaboration with the regional Office of Civil Defense in Region 4-A (OCD4-A), the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Calabarzon, Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation, and the Philippine Export Southern Tagalog Association Inc.

Aside from the MSMEs, DTI will also invite to the convention representatives from the private sector, associations, non-government organizations (NGOs), financing institutions, national agencies, and local government units (LGUs).

DTI-Calabarzon information officer Mia Angeline V. Cortez said, “The forum was one of the activities identified during the National Business Forum on SME Development and Disaster Resilience held last July 26-27, 2016 in Makati City.”

Cortez added the MSME gathering aims to present key findings, issues, and priorities in addressing SME disaster resilience and discuss the roles of key organizations in implementing the SME Resiliency Roadmap. (Gladys Pino/PNA)
