Dumaguete power outage set Sunday

DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental — The Negros Oriental II Electric Cooperative (NORECO II) has scheduled a power service interruption on Sunday from 8:10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in some areas in the city.

NORECO II is set to conduct an emergency replacement of rotten three-phase primary backbone pole and to clear vegetation along the scheduled affected areas.

Areas to be affected are feeder 4 along Rovira Road Bantayan, Hibbard Avenue, Piapi going to Hall of Justice, Dao Street Daro, E.J. Blanco Piapi, Looc, Katada Street going to old Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), the line going to old South Sea Resort, Silliman farm and the line going to a residence.

NORECO II general manager Engr. Dionefred Macahig said feeder 4 up to Rovira Street crossing Hibbard Avenue will be re-energized at 12 noon.

The rest of the areas going to the old GSIS, Silliman farm, the line going to a residence and old South Sea Resort will have no power up to 5 p.m. (PNA)
