Duterte gets Father’s Day drone show surprise in Malacañang

President Rodrigo Duterte received a surprise drone show on Wednesday, June 15, from his close-in staff who want to express their gratitude to the Chief Executive.

The sky was lit up with different colors of drones formed in phrases “Salamat PRRD”.

A clenched fist and Duterte’s face were also sketched in the sky through the drones, while a “Happy Father’s Day” greeting appeared at the end of the show.

According to one of Duterte’s staff, Egan Jasmin, it is a way of honoring him and a “way of telling him how thankful we are to have him as our President.”

Jasmin also said that it may not be enough to express their gratitude to the head of state, but Duterte nonetheless appreciated their effort.

“This may not be enough to wrap up all the words but he appreciated our effort,” Jasmin said.

Duterte will leave his post on June 30.  – ag
