Duterte spends weekend break in HK

MANILA – President Rodrigo Duterte and his family spent the weekend in Hong Kong to take a break, Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Christopher Lawrence ‘Bong’ Go announced in his Facebook page.

On Saturday night, Go uploaded photos of him with Duterte who was joined by his common-law wife Honeylet Avanceña and daughter Kitty.

Bago pa maunahan ng fake news, kailangan din magpahinga ng Pangulo (Before fake news gets around, the President also needs a beak),” Go said in his FB post.

Go also uploaded another set of photos showing the President choosing yellow jacket shirt in a shopping mall.

Kahit panay ang batikos ng dilawan kay Tatay Digong, nagawa pa niyang pumili ng damit na kulay yellow!!! (Despite being criticized by yellow group(referring to opposition Liberal Party), Tatay Digong still managed to choose color yellow dress),” Go wrote on Facebook.

In a text message to Palace reporters, Go said the President arrived in Hong Kong early Saturday morning and set to return on Sunday.

Hong Kong reportedly welcomed over 300,000 visitors as China celebrated National Day Golden Week celebration which ended on Saturday.

In April this year, Duterte met some 2,500 Filipinos in Hong Kong after attending the Boao Economic Forum Asia in the southern Chinese province of Hainan. (Jelly Musico/PNA)
