By Alec Go

President Rodrigo Duterte’s approval and trust ratings slightly improved during the third quarter of 2021, a Pahayag survey conducted by PUBLiCUS Asia Inc. showed.

Duterte’s approval rating “rebounded slightly” to 60% from 58% record in the second quarter, while his trust rating increased to 53% from 50% for the same period.

The President has a 21.4% disapproval rating and 23% low trust rating.

The survey showed Vice President Leni Robredo has a 31% approval level and a 40% disapproval level. In the second quarter poll released last July, Robredo scored 32.267 for approval and 41.733 for disapproval. However, her low total trust increased by 5%.

Vice presidential aspirant Sotto also “suffered a small decline of 3% in his total high trust rating” in the survey conducted from Oct. 11 to 18, or after the filing of certificate of candidacy (COC).

Gordon’s trust rating declined to 19% from his 30% score in the previous quarter.
