The state weather bureau has also issued a storm surge warning in the coastal areas of eastern Luzon, with 2 to 3 meter waves expected in Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan and Zambales; and 1 to 2 meter waves expected in Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Cagayan, Isabela, and Ilocos Norte.

This is complemented by a gale warning advisory in the northern and western seaboards of Luzon, with rough to very high seas producing 3.7 to 10-meter waves in the western coast of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, and Zambales, as well as rough to very rough seas producing 2.8 to 4.5-meter waves in Cagayan (including Babuyan islands), Isabela, northern coast of Ilocos Norte, Bataan, and the northwestern coast of Occidental Mindoro.

Mariners of motorbancas and other small marine vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigation under these conditions.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Dante has exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and was last located 805 km northeast of extreme Northern Luzon and is moving north at 15 kph. It packs maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph.
