Ex-PNP chief Cascolan now OP undersecretary

Malacaῆang on Wednesday confirmed President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed retired Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Gen. Camilo Cascolan as new undersecretary of the Office of the President.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque disclosed the chief executive signed the appointment paper of Gen. Cascolan on Monday, February 22.

Gen. Cascolan was the fourth chief of the national police under the Duterte administration, serving only two months before his retirement.

“Of course it’s an honor for me to serve the President. I just hope I could keep step with his standards and I will do my best,” USec. Cascolan said. – Report from Mela Lesmoras
