Expect New York flight delays due to snowfall: PAL

MANILA — Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) has advised passengers traveling to and from the John F. Kennedy (JFK) International Airport in New York to expect flight delays, possibly until Sunday, due to the weather condition there.

In an advisory Friday, PAL said snowfall is expected to develop in New York from late Thursday until Sunday.

“We are closely monitoring the ongoing snowfall in the US, and we are aware of the possible effects on our flights to and from JFK.

Safety of our passengers is our top priority,” PAL spokesperson, Cielo Villaluna, told the Philippine News Agency (PNA).

PAL’s flights to and from JFK were ongoing as of Friday, she said, adding that the airline will take the necessary actions if needed.

The flag carrier launched a direct Manila-New York route last October.
