Fair weather, isolated rain showers to prevail across PH Tuesday

Fair weather with isolated rains will prevail across the country on Tuesday, Aug. 30, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

“Fair and sunny weather will be experienced across the country due to the easterlies. Isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms may still be experienced,” said Aldczar Aurelio of PAGASA.

Light to moderate, with at times heavy rains are possible in the afternoon or evening, he added.

PAGASA also forecast light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas to prevail across the archipelago.

Meanwhile, Typhoon Hinnamnor outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) may possibly enter on Wednesday night. Once inside PAR, it will be given the local name, “Gardo”.

“This will likely head to Taiwan or Batanes area. Topical cyclone wind signal no. 1 may be hoisted over Northern Luzon in the coming days,” Aurelio said.

The cloud clusters that PAGASA has been monitoring has developed into a low pressure area (LPA) and was last tracked 1,210 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon.

“It is still far from the country. It will either develop into a tropical cyclone, or be absorbed by the typhoon outside PAR,” Aurelio said. (PNA)
