By Ma. Cristina Arayata | Philippine News Agency

The whole country will continue to experience generally fair weather, with isolated rain showers on Thursday, June 16, the weather bureau said.

“It will be warm at noon, and high chances of rains and thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening,” said Grace Castañeda of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

The ridge of the high pressure area extends over northern and central Luzon. Easterlies, on the other hand, continue to affect the eastern section of the Visayas and Mindanao.

No weather disturbance is seen to affect the country, Castañeda said.

The whole of Luzon will have generally fair weather. It will be warm at noon, with isolated rains caused by localized thunderstorms likely in the afternoon or evening.

The temperature could reach up to 34 °C in Laoag City; 33 °C in Metro Manila and Legazpi City.

The same weather condition will prevail over the Visayas and Mindanao.

Zamboanga’s temperature could reach up to 34 °C; and up to 33 °C in Davao.

The maximum temperature in the cities of Tacloban, Cebu, Iloilo and Cagayan de Oro could reach up to 32 °C.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will continue to prevail across the archipelago. (PNA)
