Fair weather, isolated rains likely until June 24

By Ma. Cristina Arayata | Philippine News Agency

The weather bureau on Tuesday, June 21, said fair weather and isolated rains will prevail across the country until the next three days.

Due to the monsoon break or breaks in rainfall events and the ridge of high pressure area extending over the eastern section of Luzon, the whole country will experience fair weather.

Chances of rains, however, are still likely due to localized thunderstorms.

“This weather condition will prevail until June 24,” said Aldczar Aurelio of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

The isolated rains may be light to moderate to at times heavy, Aurelio said.

He added that no low pressure area or weather disturbance was seen inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

Meanwhile, the temperature in Tuguegarao could reach up to 34 °C and up to 33 °C in Metro Manila and Laoag.

Cagayan de Oro and Zamboanga’s maximum temperature is 32 °C.; while the temperature in Tacloban, Cebu, Iloilo and Davao could reach up to 31 °C.

The country will continue to experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas. – gb
