Fair weather, isolated rains to prevail across PH

MANILA – Fair weather and isolated rains will be experienced across the country Monday (Sept. 27).

“Luzon, Metro Manila will have warm and humid weather. Isolated rains are still likely so people must still bring their umbrellas,” Ariel Rojas of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

The Visayas and Mindanao will have warm and humid weather, especially in the early afternoon. Rojas added that isolated rains are likely in the afternoon.

In its 4 a.m. weather forecast, PAGASA said Typhoon Mindulle, which was last observed 1,600 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon, outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), brings moderate to rough seas over the seaboards of the eastern part of the country. Rojas said those who would venture out to the sea must take precautions.

PAGASA forecast light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas to prevail over the rest of the country.

Rojas said Mindulle is slightly weakened and is not expected to affect the country.

“It may enter PAR on Tuesday (Sept. 28), and may exit by Wednesday (Sept. 29). Once inside PAR, it will be named ‘Lannie’,” he said. The tropical cyclone is not expected to affect any part of the country even when it enters the PAR.

Aside from Mindulle, PAGASA is not expecting any weather disturbance in the country for the next three days, he said. (PNA) – bny
