Fair weather to prevail across PH Monday

By Ma. Cristina Arayata | Philippine News Agency

Fair weather will prevail over most parts of the country on Monday, Dec. 5, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

“There will only be instances of isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms,” Obet Badrina of PAGASA said.

He added that no low pressure area was seen that could affect the country.

“Although the chance for a tropical cyclone to develop is slim, PAGASA is still expecting two tropical cyclones this December,” he said.

Meanwhile, PAGASA forecast scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, and Quezon province due to the easterlies.

These areas may experience flash floods or landslides due to light, moderate to at times heavy rains.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over extreme Northern Luzon.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA
