Famy mayor succumbs to COVID-19

Famy, Laguna Mayor Edwin V. Pangilinan passed away due to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on Sunday.

The news was confirmed by the Public Affairs Office of Laguna. He was 53 years old.

Mayor Pangilinan’s mother succumbed to COVID-19 on the same day.

The news elicited an outpouring of messages of condolence from netizens, and neighboring local government units (LGUs).
