FDA issues cease and desist order against Fabunan antiviral injections

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a cease and desist order against Fabunan antiviral injections.

According to Department of Health (DOH) Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, the company has not yet applied for a certificate of product registration. The Fabunan vaccine has allegedly been used to fight coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Zambales and has gone viral on social media.

The DOH reiterated that any medicine which is unregistered and has not passed the clinical trial, must not be used.

The health department warned that anyone caught using Fabunan vaccine may face charges. – PTV News
