Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Director General Eric Domingo stated that there is a great chance for the Philippines to acquire the vaccine against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) after participating in the global clinical trials.

Dir. Gen. Domingo explained that it is a strategy for the country to have a chance to be prioritized if the vaccine is created.

In line with this, President Rodrigo R. Duterte has coordinated with other countries for the Philippines to be one of the first to obtain the vaccine. There are currently 70 companies and universities working on the creation of the vaccine against COVID-19 worldwide. – PTV News
