Filipinos in Chile, safe – DFA

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported that Filipinos are not affected by the protest actions and of the state of emergency in Chile.

There are about 800 Filipinos in Santiago, capital of Chile.

The Pinoys are advised to avoid public places, and, if possible, just stay indoors.

The DFA assures that they continue to monitor the situation. The agency also asked Filipinos in Chile to contact +56-94-272-0320 if they need assistance.
