First COVID-19 vaccine trial starts

The first vaccine trial for Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) has started.

Word Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus did not reveal the places where the vaccine trial was conducted, but he expects that it will take 12 to 18 months before it is released to the public.

WHO Dir. Gen. Ghebreyesus has praised the researchers for allotting time in searching for a cure against COVID-19.

WHO has reported 200,000 COVID-19 cases which ended up with more than 8,000 deaths.
