Former DFA Sec. Yasay passes away at 73

Former Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Perfecto “Jun” Yasay passed away Friday morning at the age of 73.

His wife, Cecile Joaquin Yasay, confirmed that he died due to Pneumonia.

Malacañang has extended its sympathies to the family and friends of the former secretary who served under the administration of President Duterte. He was also the chairperson of the board of trustees of the Philippine Christian University and chairperson of the Securities and Exchange Commission.

DFA Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. extended his sympathies with the passing of former Sec. Yasay who recommended him to the United Nations.
