The Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) is set to completely restore the water supply in areas affected by Typhoon Odette during the second quarter of 2022.
This was confirmed by LWUA Officer-in-charge Eileen Dela Vega in the March 22 Laging Handa briefing in line with the celebration of World Water Day, saying that around 80% to 85% of water services in Odette-hit areas have been fully restored.
“Mayroon pang kaunti na partially restored, so hopefully very soon makabalik na rin ang 100% serbisyo nila sa kanilang mga komunidad,” she said.
Dela Vega said they have yet to fully restore their water services in Dinagat Islands.
“Hindi matatapos ang second quarter na maibalik na rin ang kanilang (Dinagat Islands) serbisyo kasi malaki iyong tinamaan dito sa Dinagat Islands,” she said. – Report from Naomi Tiburcio/AG-rir
