GenSan boxers rule PRISAA nat’l games in Davao

DAVAO CITY — Young boxers from Region 12 (Soccsksargen) won five golds, two silvers, and a bronze medal and pushed the region into becoming over-all champion in boxing in the ongoing PRISAA National Games at the Palma Gil Elementary School.

Region 12 took the gold from flyweight Franz Carl Muyso (49.1-52 kg.), bantamweight RV Denega (52.1-56 kg.), lightweight El John dela Pena (56.1-60 k.), welterweight Darriel Leteral (60.1-64 kg.) and heavyweight Ranjo Napoles (81.1 above).

It also got the silver from middleweight Romel Bale (64.1-69 kg.) and light flyweight Dave Mark Sequino (46.1-49 kg.) while a bronze was snapped up by middleweight Bernardo Quimeging Jr. (69.1-75 kg.).

The Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) placed second with two golds courtesy of middleweight Arnold Chalis Jr. and light heavyweight Soleiman Abduramani Jr. (75.1-81 kg.).

The other gold medals were won by Region 11’s (Davao Region) Paul Julyfer Bascon (64.1-69 kg.) and Region 7’s (Central Visayas) Shane Gentallan (46.1-49 kg.).

The other silver medalist were Region 7’s light welterweight Danjay Nietes, middleweight Nicholas Martin Butalid, and heavyweight Jude Vincent Acog, Region 11’s bantamweight Curt Nelgy Manigsasa, and lightweight Jomari Rubin.

Bronze medalists were light flyweight Kerubin Sunday (CAR) and Bryan Paul Chabit (Northern Mindanao), flyweight Wilfredo Padua Jr. (CAR) and Harold Sayson (Davao Region), bantamweight Jomar Balagui (CAR) and Angilou Daloglog (R7), lightweight Angel Bonnie (CAR) and Novie James Pagaling (Northern. Mindanao), light welterweight Jhon Marvin Lozada (Bicol Region) and Mark Andy Austria (Davao Region), middleweight Bernardo Quimeging Jr. (Soccsksargen) and Merlito Padilla (Davao Region).
