President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday touted the establishment of the “Bagong Pilipinas eGovPH Serbisyo Hub” (BPESH) as part of the government’s push for digital transformation in public service delivery, stressing that the one-stop shop rids of long lines, fixers, and even corruption.

During the launch of the new digital hub at Makabagong San Juan National Government Center in San Juan City, the President reiterated that with the help of eGovPH Super App, government transactions would become faster and more convenient as it eliminates the need to hop from one office to another just to get a document processed on top of waiting for hours in long queues.

“Pupunta ka sa isang opisina. Pipila ka ng dalawang oras… pagkatapos, sasabihan ka pa na kulang ang requirements. Kailangang bumalik. That is impossible for an ordinary citizen,” Marcos said.

“So, that’s why we have always aspired to actually being able to do a one-stop shop na isang punta lang ay nandiyan na lahat,” he added.

The Chief Executive also encouraged Filipinos to download the eGovPH Super App, developed by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), as it integrates various government services into a single platform that users can access without having to physically visit offices.

The BPESH, on the other hand, serves as the physical extension of the eGovPH ecosystem where citizens can also access multiple government services in one location. Among its key services are the grant of medical financial assistance, free legal counselling, job-matching opportunities, and other services such as application for clearances and legal records.

“I think that that is a very, very important development because we are trying to make things easier for our kababayans so that they can go about their business na hindi naman sila nahihirapan at kung ano-ano pang pangangailangan na nauubos ang oras nila,” Marcos said.

“Basta’t may connectivity, hindi na kailangang pumunta sa ahensiya. Hindi na kailangang pumunta sa Poblacion… You can do all of this online na nasa bahay ka lang,” he added.

The President assured that more digital one-stop hubs will be established in strategic areas to cater to more Filipinos nationwide, saying: “It’s not only here in Luzon, Metro Manila. We will also do the same thing for all the local governments around the country.”

“We are going to bring to all the LGUs that have already subscribed to the program. And furthermore, we are now rolling out the eGov app for the other services of all the agencies of government.”
