Concerned over the welfare of overseas Filipino workers caught in the middle of the crisis in Afghanistan, Globe is providing assistance in the form of free prepaid load and postpaid credits to customers currently in the conflict-torn country. This will allow stranded Filipinos to use Globe’s roaming services to connect and update their loved ones of their status.
The company started extending bill credits for Postpaid subscribers and sending free load for Prepaid and TM users on Aug. 17. Customers can use it to make or receive calls and send text messages to all networks while in Afghanistan.
“In light of this situation, we are offering assistance to our subscribers in Afghanistan. It is of utmost importance that our customers are able to reach out and communicate with their loved ones,” Coco Domingo, Globe VP for Postpaid and International Business said.
To enjoy the free roaming service, subscribers need to make sure they are connected to Globe’s roaming partner, Roshan.
