Government creates task force focused on labor sector affected by COVID-19 pandemic

The government created a task force to focus on the labor sector which has been gravely affected by the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

The move is embodied in the joint memorandum circular that aims to focus on the national employment recovery strategy of the government.

According to Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Assistant Secretary Dominique Tutay, various government agencies will make up the task force. Among the programs are strengthening the skills of the workers, recovery of the economic activity that will provide many jobs, and the increase of business confidence of investors.
