Government Troops Kill Nine More Maute-ISIS Stragglers

Marawi City – Relentless clearing operations by government troops yield nine more Maute-ISIS terrorist-stragglers on November 5, 2017.

These nine stragglers are believed to be part of the remaining Maute-ISIS terrorists who attacked Marawi City on May 23, 2017.

The deaths of these nine terrorists were a result of fierce fighting from early dawn of November 5 until late afternoon.

Among those slain is Ibrahim Maute alias Abu Jamil, a cousin of Maute brothers Omar and Abdulah. Government troops are still on the lookout for more possible terrorists-stragglers in the main battle area.

Thus, the military is warning the public that the main battle area is still off limits because of the danger posed by terrorist-stragglers. via Eunice Samonte- PTV News
