Gov’t lauds Congress support in COVID-19 fight

President Rodrigo R. Duterte and National Task Force against COVID-19 Chief Implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez have expressed their gratitude towards Congress for its support in the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination program.

According to NTF Chief Implementer Sec. Galvez, Congress helps the executive department in its COVID-19 response through the assurance of passing needed laws to hasten the arrival of the vaccine such as the indemnification fund, lighter taxes imposed on the vaccine, and the Bayanihan 3.

In addition to this, President Duterte echoed the statement of the Vaccine Czar and thanked the bicameral committee.

“I also would like to thank the Congress of the Republic of the Philippines for understanding us and giving us the critical support that we badly need to discharge our duties.” – Report from Mela Lesmoras
