The government has suggested measures such as the utilization of cloud-based monitors and e-sensors to help mitigate the effects of rising fuel prices currently being experienced worldwide.
Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Undersecretary Rowena Guevara on Monday (March 14) said cloud-based monitors and e-sensors for huge infrastructures, and the use of electric vehicles are some of the ways to conserve energy.
Guevara said charging stations are being placed in provinces that will help in powering electric vehicles.
The official noted that the crude being used to make gasoline and other oil products are all imported.
Guevarra also pointed out that even countries with oil reserves are experiencing the increase in fuel prices. –ag
