The southwest monsoon (habagat) and localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy skies and rain showers on Tuesday, June 13, the state weather bureau said.

Monsoon rains are forecast to prevail over Ilocos Region, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands, causing possible flash floods or landslides.

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are also expected over Cordillera Administrative Region, Bataan, Zambales, Tarlac, Pampanga, and Bulacan due to habagat.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to both habagat and localized thunderstorms.

“Sa kasalukuyan ay wala tayong mino-monitor na sama ng panahon na maaaring makaapekto rito sa ating bansa,” Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.

No gale warning is in effect as of posting.
