‘Habagat’ continues to bring rain Wednesday

MANILA — The southwest monsoon will bring rains to Luzon on Wednesday, according to the Philippine, Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In its 4-p.m. weather bulletin on Tuesday, PAGASA said monsoon rains will be experienced in Luzon due to the “hanging habagat” (southwest monsoon). PAGASA cautioned of flooding or landslides, especially in low-lying areas.

The state-run weather bureau further said Visayas and Mindanao will experience partly to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to local thunderstorms.

The northern, western, and southern parts of Luzon, including the eastern section of north Luzon, will also have rough to very rough coastal waters caused by strong to gale force winds.

Other areas, meanwhile, will have moderate to rough coastal waters due to moderate to strong winds.

The country will have a temperature range of 15-36°C until Saturday.

On Tuesday, PAGASA recorded a peak temperature of 27 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 24 degrees Celsius at the PAGASA weather station in Quezon City. (Juzel Danganan/PNA)
