MANILA – The southwest monsoon or “habagat” and a low-pressure area (LPA) will bring some rains mostly to the western section of the country on Saturday, July 9.

In its 4:00 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the LPA was last estimated at 825 km. east of Surigao City in Surigao del Norte.

Winds in the western section of southern Luzon will be moderate to strong and headed southwest, with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds headed southwest to southeast, with slight to moderate seas.
