Every Saturday morning, our families take the spotlight as the People’s Television Network shares tips from medical professionals, fitness experts, and health advocates to guide us towards a healthier, happier life with HEALTH@HOME, hosted by Niña Corpuz-Rodriguez.
Being a broadcast journalist, wife, and mother of three kids, Niña Corpuz juggles life between hosting duties every weekday in Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon over at PTV-4 and her maternal role as the family’s homemaker. Through the program, Niña aims to help other moms and even the whole family in taking care of themselves.
Amid the extreme heat and dry weather, we have to be on the lookout for common illnesses that can afflict us, such as heat exhaustion and heat stroke. In LIFELINE, Niña interviews health professionals to provide us health advice regarding treatment and prevention of these ailments.
If you are running out of recipes to cook for your family, they have your back, too, with HEALTHY BITES. Nutrition experts will share food and beverage ideas — which are not only easy to cook, but also healthy and refreshing!
When at home, we gotta move more. Here’s FIT ZONE to teach us simple home workouts for all members of the family, such as squats, lunges, and planking exercises that are effective for fat and weight loss, as well as developing muscle endurance.
Of course, the family would not be complete without our fur babies, that’s why their health is also our priority. With POWER PAWS, the program aims to give our pets the best care they need as advised by the professionals who know them well, veterinarians.
Meanwhile, the whole fam can also enjoy a well-deserved bonding with #FAMBAM — featuring must-visit places with delicious food to boot and inspiring stories to tell. Guests will talk about the history and significance of these places and walk us through its attractive walls.
After the COVID-19 Pandemic, health has never been more important and we only wish for good health not only for ourselves but also for the whole family. That’s why HEALTH@HOME is here to guide us what we need to know on the road to a healthier lifestyle.
Catch HEALTH@HOME every Saturdays at 7 a.m. on PTV-4 and via livestream on PTV’s Facebook page. – avds
