Hundreds of families have been evacuated following the massive flooding due to heavy downpour in some parts of Cebu.
At least 11 barangays were flooded in the Municipality of Tuburan after Caridad River overflowed. Some houses and establishments were also submerged in the Municipality of Asturias.
Motorists had difficulty going to other areas in Balamban after some roads were swamped with flood water. An electric post also collapsed in Barangay Malubog in Cebu City.
The government has been distributing assistance to affected families while the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) continues to conduct damage assessment. No casualties were reported as of Wednesday afternoon. – Report from John Aroa/PTV Cebu
