The local government of Camalig held a holy mass for Cessna 340 plane victims and the members of its search and retrieval operations.

The mass was attended by the Incident Management Team (IMT), partner public and private agencies, stakeholders, residents and media.

It was presided over by Most Rev. Joel Z. Baylon.

Attendees offered prayers for the souls of the four victims of the Cessna 340 plane and thanked the responders and IMT for their successful operations.

The mass was initiated to pray for the responders’ safety, considering the extreme dangers of the ongoing high-angle and slippery descent of Mayon Volcano.

A total of 650 responders are involved in the search and retrieval operations, nine days since the crash. – gb
