Smarting from a vicious defeat against Ceres-Negros, FC Meralco Manila Sparks aim to bounce back as they battle against valiant Global Cebu FC.

Despite the forgettable 7-nil score line against the Busmen the Sparks’ resolve and morale to win in tomorrow’s match grew even stronger.

Meralco Manila head coach Aris Caslib revealed that beating Global Cebu is an opportunity to regain their winning ways.

“The word for us is rebound. It’s a reminder that we just have to do our best every time,” Meralco Manila head coach said.

However, the upcoming battle won’t be an easy task. Besides facing a tough opponent, the Sparks will troop to the pitch shorthanded as winger Alvin Sarmiento will be suspended due to accumulated yellow cards.

Meralco Manila midfielder Curt Dizon admitted that challenging matches make the team more cohesive. Though confronting a hard-hitting squad like Global Cebu entails a lot of physicality, he guaranteed that they will do everything to secure a win. “I am confident to go out there. Everyone is just excited to go out there especially with the last result. I just want to rectify what happened,” he said.

The bout between FC Meralco Manila versus Global Cebu will happen tomorrow afternoon at 4pm at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
