House bill seeks special powers for President Duterte to fast-track BBB projects

A bill has been filed which grants special powers to President Rodrigo Duterte to speed-up the procurement and implementation of the projects under the administration’s Build, Build, Build program.

House committee on ways and means chairperson Joey Salceda filed this bill after Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon said that only nine out of 75 infrastructure projects have started construction.

Salceda also told that the Congress should do its part on helping the administration implement the said infrastructure projects instead of calling it a failure as the program will have a significant impact impact on people’s lives.
