House Committee on Trade and Industry conducts discussion on online fraud, online drug transaction


The House Committee on Trade and Industry conducted a discussion regarding reports of online fraud which include ordering a laptop in an online shopping application then receiving a stone.

Aside from fraud, the committee also found out illegal drug transactions escalating in the online shopping platforms.

According to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), online illegal drug transaction is a challenge especially when social networking sites are often used. Operations are now being conducted in response to reports of online shopping platforms regarding the matter. – Report from Daniel Manalastas
