How-to: Watch PTV shows in your digibox

The People’s Television Network (PTV) ramps up its digital terrestrial television broadcasting (DTTB) presence in key areas nationwide.

As early as 2009, PTV has been on digital TV transmission from its main broadcast center in Quezon City using the Japanese Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting-Terrestrial (ISDB-T) standard, which the Philippines formally adopted in 2013.

In 2018, PTV formally launched its digital TV broadcast to serve its viewers with full digital clarity as the Philippine government plans to fully transition to DTTB by 2023.

With your own digiboxes and ISDB-T-ready televisions, you can now watch your favorite news and entertainment programs such as Rise and Shine Pilipinas, Sentro Balita, PTV Sports, Ulat Bayan, PTV News Tonight, and much more.

To amplify your PTV experience with your set-top box and TVs, follow these easy steps:

  1. Re-scan your digital TV box or set-top box
  2. Using your remote control, press Menu
  3. Go to Settings, choose Auto Search, and press Scan
  4. Wait until the scan is completed and choose OK

PTV’s initial digital TV stations in key areas across the country are:

  • PTV Manila Channel 14 (473.143 MHz)
  • PTV Cordillera Channel 42 (641.143 MHz)
  • PTV Naga Channel 46 (665.143 MHz)
  • PTV Guimaras Channel 23 (527.143 MHz)
  • PTV Cebu Channel 42 (641.143 MHz)
  • PTV Davao Channel 45 (659.143 MHz)

Your digital TV viewing experience is subject to the actual location of your receiver, and may require the use of an outdoor antenna for best reception.

For cable and satellite TV viewers, rescanning is not needed.
