Drug suspect nabbed, ‘shabu’ seized in NegOr town

DUMAGUETE CITY – Police operatives arrested a suspected drug pusher and seized alleged shabu or crystal meth during an anti-illegal drugs operation in Barangay Caticugan, Siaton town, Negros Oriental over the weekend.

A police report on Monday identified the suspect as Efren Silva Rapada, 45 years old, single, and a resident of Barangay Caticugan, Siaton.

He was arrested around 6 a.m. Saturday by Siaton police personnel, led by their police chief, Sr. Insp. Luisito Pinili, during the implementation of a search warrant.

Confiscated from the suspect’s possession were 10 pieces of small, heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu granules, 12 pieces of lighters, stripped tin foil, five improvised tooters, and other alleged drug paraphernalia.

Negros Oriental Executive Judge Gerardo Paguio issued the search warrant against the suspect for alleged violation of Republic Act 9165 of the Dangerous Drugs Act as amended.
