IATF releases new guidelines on alert level system in NCR, capacity of gyms and dine-in services

The Inter-Agency Task Force has released new guidelines regarding dine-in, personal, and fitness services as well as guidelines for the pilot implementation of the Alert Levels System.

According to the IATF, the designation of the National Capital Region as the pilot area for the pilot implementation of the Alert Levels System shall be extended until Oct. 15 with weekly evaluation pending new metrics.

Meanwhile, fitness studios and gyms shall be allowed to reopen under a limited capacity in areas under Alert Level 4.

Fitness studios and gyms are allowed at a limited twenty (20%) venue capacity but may accommodate only individuals who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Provided, however, that their clients and the service providers wear face masks at all times and that no group activities are conducted; that health protocols must still be followed.

It is also required that all workers or employees be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

There must also be no objection from the LGU where these fitness activities may take place.

As for dine-in services, indoor dine-in services may operate at 20% capacity while outdoor dine-in may operate at 50% capacity.

Personal care services limited to barbershops, hair spas, nail spas, and beauty salons may operate up to 30% capacity. – PG-rir
