IATF to discuss unvaccinated minors’ mobility

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) will include in its meeting agenda today (Nov. 25) whether to impose movement restrictions for unvaccinated minors in indoor settings.

Interior Secretary Eduardo Aῆo confirmed in a text message that the discussion on indoor areas activities for minors will include malls.

Senate Committee on Health Chairperson Sen. Christopher Go said President Rodrigo Duterte will leave the decision to health experts on whether to limit minor’s mobility anew.

“Kung sa tingin ng mga health experts at ng IATF ay safe na pong lumabas ang mga bata, sila na po ang magdedesisyon noon. At si Pangulong Duterte, inaasa naman niya sa mga health experts kung papayagan na,” he said.

National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 medical adviser Dr. Ted Herbosa said he approves the recommendation to restrict and regulate the entry of those ages 11 years-old and below in malls “for leisure.”

Herbosa said he is recommending the children be brought to open spaces such as parks. – Report from Mela Lesmoras/AG-rir
