Iligan’s ‘Bonecrusher’ to face Singapore’s Roslie in DavNor

DAVAO CITY – Super flyweight Kim “Bonecrusher” Actub of Iligan City will face Singapore’s Nurshahidah “The Sniper” Roslie in a 10-round bout on March 5 at the Dujali Gymnasium in Braulio E. Dujali, Davao del Norte.

Actub, who holds the record of seven wins, recently beat Joan Ambalong by unanimous decision last June 24 at the Central Market Gym in Iligan.

She also won the Philippine female super bantamweight against Ambalong last October 15, 2017 and the vacant Woman’s International Boxing Association World super bantamweight title over Ye Byul Lee of China via a 3rd round knockout on June 24, 2017.

Actub, however, lost to Die Hu of China by unanimous decision in their battle for the vacant International Boxing Federation Asia female featherweight title on March 2, last year.

Roslie, on the other hand, won the vacant World Boxing Council Asian Boxing female super bantamweight title by knocking out Kanchana Tungthaisong in Round 4 on November 23, 2017 in Singapore.

Roslie, who has 11 wins to her record, was a former interim OPBF female featherweight champion and became the WBC Asian Boxing Council female featherweight champion by beating Siriphon Chanbuala last September 23, 2017 in Singapore.

She also won the vacant Thai female featherweight title by technical knockout over Sumanthar Baenkham in the 6th round in a March 2017 bout.

Roslie, however, lost to April Adams by unanimous decision in the battle for the WBC Asia Pacific super bantamweight title in Mansfield on July 7, 2017.

The Davao Norte boxing event is part of the Redemption 2 Bakbakan sa Braulio E. Dujali presentation, promoted by Engr. Jilson Basang of MB Sports Promotion in coordination with the local government unit,  headed by Mayor Leah Marie Moral-Romano.
