A month after his third place finish at the blitz and rapid events of the Southeast Asian Games qualifying tournament, Philippine chess International Master (IM) Paulo Bersamina outplayed the country’s Grand Masters anew after winning the recently concluded 2019 Grandmaster Rosendo Balinas Memorial Chess Cup. Bersamina scored 12 points to edge out GMs Darwin Laylo and Rogelio Antonio, Jr who finished second and third respectively.
