‘IMKW’ tip leads to dismantling of drug den in QC buy-bust ops

Joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office (RO) -National Capital Region (NCR) Quezon City District Office (QCDO), together with PDEA RO-4B Oriental Mindoro Provincial Office, successfully conducted a buy-bust operation that led to the discovery and dismantling of a drug den and the arrest of five high-value targets.

The successful operation, conducted at NIA Road, Brgy. Pinyahan, Quezon City on July 31, was the result of a tip from a tip sent to the  #IsumbongMoKayWilkins (IMKW) initiative, PDEA Director-General Wilkins M. Villanueva’s social media platform to which concerned citizens are highly encouraged to report illegal drug activities in their communities.

PDEA RO-NCR Regional Director Christian Frivaldo identified the arrested suspects as:

  • Ma. Angela Zubiaga y Bongat, 29 years old, vendor; 
  • Christopher Garcia y Gallardo, 22, painter;
  • Felipe Amor Jr. y Mendez, 47, scavenger;
  • Dennis Callejo y Sacriz, 37, scavenger; and
  • Joselito Casisner y Rapiza, 55, butcher. 

Confiscated and seized during the operation were nine pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of white crystalline methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu), weighing 15 grams and with a standard drug price of P102,000; assorted drug paraphernalia, identification cards, and the buy-bust money. 

Cases for the violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared for filing in court against the arrested suspects.  ### (PDEA) – jlo
