International flights sa Cebu, apektado ng decongestion sa mga quarantine facilities

Nanawagan ang pamunuan ng Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) na ibalik na ang mga inbound international flights sa MCIA na inilipat kamakailan upang mabawasan ang mga okupadong quarantine accredited facilities sa Cebu.

Ayon kay MCIA OIC Atty. Glenn Napole, apektado na ang outbound international flights ng paliparan dahil sa itinakdang diversion ng inbound international flights ng MCIA sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

Tinatayang 80% ng mga pasahero na dumarating sa Cebu mula abroad ay mga transients ngunit dahil sa diversion flights, karamihan sa mga ito ay sa barko na lamang sumasakay.

“I hope na ma-solve agad nila ‘yung problema kasi ‘yung apektado dito ay ang mga overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) na pauwi at paalis,” saad ni Napole.

Dagdag pa nito, apektado na rin ang mga trabaho at empleyado na kailangang gumamit ng paliparan.

Inilipat ng Malacañang ang lahat ng inbound international flights mula MCIA patungong NAIA mula Mayo 29 hanggang June 5.

Dahil dito, may mga outbound international passengers ang na-rebook din ang mga flights at pinapunta na lamang sa Maynila. – Ulat ni John Aroa / CF-rir
