Investment case report on non-communicable diseases launched

The Department of Health, the World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Philippines and the United Nations Interagency Task Force (UNIATF) launched an investment case report on preventing and controlling non-communicable diseases. This will help curb ailments such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, chronic respiratory disease and diabetes which are considered top killers in the country. These diseases caused the deaths of 68% of people from 30 to 70 years old and cost the government Php756.5B per year to cure them.
