MANILA — Isolated rain showers will prevail over most parts of the archipelago, the weather bureau said on Sunday.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) added that the northeast monsoon affecting extreme northern Luzon will cause cloudy skies with light rains over Batanes and Babuyan Group of Islands.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, strong winds will blow over extreme northern Luzon with rough seas.

The rest of northern Luzon will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds will prevail over the eastern section of central and southern Luzon, and Visayas. Coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said.
