MANILA — Partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers are expected over Metro Manila, the weather bureau said Saturday.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration’s (PAGASA) daily forecast said Zambales will also experience partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds coming from the east will prevail over these areas and coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon are still expected to have a warmer and humid weather condition until May 3.

In its extended weather report, PAGASA said Metro Manila, Metro Cebu and Metro Davao can expect to experience partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with rain showers and/or thunderstorms on May 1, Labor Day.

Maximum temperature can hit 33°C in Metro Cebu and Metro Davao, as well as 35°C in Metro Manila, according to PAGASA.

“Such temperatures are normal there around this time of the year so we can expect generally hot and humid conditions, particularly between noon and early afternoon,” bureau forecaster, Lanie Bitagun, said.
